| The Faery Faith By Diana Haronis We have danced on the Earth since the dawn of time. Our song is the call of the wind. Our poetry is heard in the gentle rain, And the thundering skies. We were born of Summer's first kiss, As He melted the snows of Winter's deep sleep, Awakening within Her the promise of life. We are eternal; The oldest and the youngest; The ever flowing stream, That quenches the thirst of the believer. Our religion is ancient and it is new; Born anew within each child of light, Who seeks to hold it's eternal truth. Bending and swaying, Like the windblown branches of the mighty oak; Its roots are strong, Yet it's branches are free, To be moved by the spirit of wind and change. We are real and we are illusion; Fantasy and fact. We are the Earth, The essence of nature, And the fulfillment of life. We are the eternal, ever unfolding, ever new, Creative spirit of the imagination, The Goddess, And the Gods. Diana Haronis |
