Spirits Dance

The day was bright in Winter's light
but warm enough to shed
The friends set out upon the path
the Spirit Dancers led
Before us loomed the mountains tall
and older than our song
They beckoned us and on we went
and on and on and on

Spirits dance within this ring
Power of the ages bring
Quench our thirst eternal spring
And bind us at this gathering

Through meadows green and forest dark
where grow the wisest trees
With reaching branches overhead
and mossy floor beneath
We finally found the place we sought
atop a rocky hill
And there we stood in silent awe
the very earth was still

Spirits dance within this ring
Power of the ages bring
Quench our thirst eternal spring
And bind us at this gathering

A ring of stones upon a bluff
born in another time
A place of power rising up
between your soul and mine
Now sing and dance our earthly chants
and raise the cone of power
For in this place we are remade
this is an holy hour

Spirits dance within this ring
Power of the ages bring
Quench our thirst eternal spring
And bind us at this gathering
