in any forgotten tale
written by men of myth
you remain real.
Surrounded by a circle of light
and the love of Creation,
you guide and protect
me, an unworthy one.
I beg admittance
to your circle of healing light,
a solitary soul
blessed to be called witch
by others who have seen.
At once you are creator,
mother, sister, lover.
My hands upraised within
my humbly made circle
no beginning, no end
I accept your light,
let it flow through me
and I shed the bonds
of life before.
Taking a new name I am reborn
and finally whole.
