| Recitle By Burnapian Book Of Shadows A Recitle is a daily expression of Faith. It should be done the first thing in the morning and the last thing at night, just before going to bed. This Recitle begins by first grounding and centering. The ritual tools you will need are altar and wand. Playing meditative music softly in the background may help set up an atmosphere for a uniform manifestation of the Goddess and the God. After having centered yourself, exhale completely. With the inward breath, inhaling through the nose, draw a flow of energy down from the ends of the Universe using visualization. In your mind's eye, see this energy as a current of white light entering the top of your head (through the Crown Chakra) and grounding into the earth through the soles of your feet. Now with an outward breath draw this energy back up, vibrating or resonating the name of your Goddess. As you vibrate the name, feel your whole body resonating from head to toe. Now draw more energy down with the inward breath and then vibrate the name of the God, as you did the Goddess. When vibrating the names in sequence three times, vibrate first the entire body, feeling it resonating with power. Next, vibrating the names the second time, resonate the body and the atmosphere (actually the astral plane) around you. In your mind's eye, see a sphere of pure white light surround you as you resonate the names. The third time, vibrate the names and resonate the body and the whole atmosphere throughout the room you are in, filling it with power and light. Practice vibrating your God and Goddess' names before performing the Recitle. Now standing before your shrine or altar, draw energy down as a stream of light with the inward breath from the Macrocosm through the top of your head, grounding it into the earth through your feet. Hold this energy for four heartbeats. With the outward breath, say: Exalted am I; Power and Glory fills my being. I am my own redeemer. This is a way of saying I take responsibility for my own Evolution. Evolution and Equilibrium (growth and balance) are very personal things, which no one else can achieve for you. Exhale completely. Then take a very deep breath as before. With the inward breath, draw energy again down from the top of your head, grounding it through your feet. Hold this energy for four heartbeats. Now, with the outward breath, vibrate the names of your Lady and Lord. Feel yourself vibrating with power from the God and Goddess. Now draw in energy as before and say the following with your outward breath: I stand in awe of the mighty Is, the true Divine Self. This is referring to the macrocosm and the microcosm, the Mighty Is, or All That Is. Now vibrate the names of your God and Goddess three times, feeling the power grow stronger each time, as before with the outward breath. Take in more energy and after the outward breath, say: I am as the Darkness and the Light; authority and strength are at my Left Hand, and with a Rod of power I rule my Life. The Darkness here is the Darkness that existed before the Light; this relates to the Kabalistic Sephiroth Binah, the dark feminine aspect. The words Left Hand Path have been greatly misunderstood. Their true meaning is Tantric and Lunar Feminine. From the Darkness is born the Light, the Solar Masculine aspect, or the Right Hand Path. Now using your wand, draw in the air a large triangle, starting at the left corner finishing at the left corner. Envision this triangle glowing with electric blue light. Draw more energy down with the outward breath and say: Glorious [Goddess and God names] worthy of all Honor and Adoration, I magnify thy names, Lord and Lady. I stand in awe of they Majestic Divinity. Only you I worship; I acknowledge no others. Allow a short pause of four heartbeats, and then draw more energy down. With the outward breath, say: I fill myself up with the power of Thy glory. Vibrate as before the names of the Lady and Lord. Now say: Worthy of all honor and adoration are the Lord and Lady. At this point speak from your heart affirmations of praise, without any written notes. Speak from your heart words of high honor and love, letting all emotions go, directing all your thoughts towards the Gods. Now sit for a moment and meditate on the God and Goddess, then to finish the Recitle say: Hail [name of Goddess]! Hail [name of God]! The Recitle is finished. In the names of the Lady and Lord, Blessed Be! I hope this liturgy will be a blessing to all that experience it. One person can do the Recitle or a whole coven can do it (one speaks the words and all vibrate the Goddess and God names). The Recitle is a kind of love letter to the Lord and Lady. It is a very powerful ritual if done as a love song to the gods. To do this ritual correctly, one needs to let all emotions of love build (there is effort in doing this) as you do this ritual daily. Often one has to work at love. As you vibrate the names of your gods, with effort let all your emotions build to a strong love for the Lady and Lord. Recitle (sic) is from the Burnapian Book of Shadows, submitted by Rev. Magus Tom Bow of The Coven of the Sacred Circle. The Burnapian Tradition emphasizes the importance of the individual. Rational Self Interest are key words used to mean responsibility to the responsible. A coven can be only as strong as its members. Burnapian Wicca teaches that Rational Self Interest or Self-Responsibility, can be something we learn through importunity. This can be achieved by spending time with other coven members that have the quality of responsibility we want in our own lives. Other teachings that make up the Burnapian Tradition are: creating sacred space, Chakra balancing, N.L.P., magick (in its many forms—an it harm none, do what you Will), invocation of the Gods, worship of the Gods as a form of invocation, grounding and centering and working with and raising energies, etc. Burnapian is a tradition that also emphasizes training. As a training tradition, our vision is to train people who will someday hive off and train others. Burnapian is an initiatory tradition. Our degrees are not given out for passing a written test, achievement will be self-evident in one's lifestyle. Those who can achieve by applying their lessons to their personal lives will be initiated into higher degrees. Having head knowledge is not enough if you can't make it work for you. Burnapian Wicca is a Pagan tradition that honors the Earth, the Seasons, and the Lord and Lady in a unique way. |
