Eternally Dressed In Green
Angelica leaves have a sheen
a light sparkle that lays on them like a veil
their color had the translucence of infants' skin
I worry over the dried edges of the Lemon Balm
and gaze in long wonder
at the slow building of a Chili Pepper
as I sit surrounded by the still sensuous glow
I feel an if rising from my heart
if only I had had a garden
what folly to search for serenity
in the guise of another human being
when all the while She sits here
eternally dressed in Green
chuckling and humming Her slow vast song
the ancient romance
Plant
Sun
Air
and Earth
a marriage of billions of years
this is the fairy tale I will tell my children
a story of unending dance
and the place
just beyond acceptance
in the land of Being
another group of Calendula are about to bloom
I think the White Sage would like to meet them
