Why Dream?
Lazaris
It has never been clearer and more provable: You create your own reality. Mystics, by whatever definition, have been saying this for centuries, and now your scientists are concluding: Reality is a product of your thought. The specific theories may vary. The conclusions are the same.
The Copenhagen Interpretation of reality suggests that there is either no deep space, that what you experience is an illusion that gently floats on the surface of possibility, or that reality is created by observation. Yet another theory proposes that the reality you experience is only one of many that existthat there are as many universes as there are possibilities. Other quantum theories-of-reality concludes that reality is a product of consciousness. Scientists are finally considering that perhaps your world is really a dual world made up of that which is potential and that which is actual. Quantum physicists are perhaps the shamans of the modern world of science. They are pointing out into the unknowns of reality and attempting to find meaning.
The explanations scientists are discovering are the same as the understandings the mystics have been revealing since the beginning of time. The physical and the metaphysical overlap: You create your own reality.
A product of what you observe or what you imagine, reality is an illusion. To some, reality is made up of electrons and protons which function in a totally unpredictable realm of probability; to others, it is made up of consciousness units which function in the wondrously luminous realm of possibility. All agree that each person is a participant in the reality experiencedin the reality created.
The reality you create is made of raw materials. Those raw materials are crafted and shaped with the tools of manifestation. The blueprint of your reality dictates the design, and the result is the physical representation of your vision.
Choice and decision are the first two raw materials. We would suggest that choice is the first gift from God/Goddess/All That Is. Choice is the seed of decision. Decision is the first step on your Journey Home. Out of your choices and decisions come the thoughts you think and the emotions you feel. These are additionally the raw materials of manifestation. Remaining are the attitudes with which you view the illusion and the beliefs that ultimately govern the illusion. These six elements are raw materials from which you carve your reality.
The pivotal raw materials are both choice and belief. As you exercise the gift of choice you potentially alter or at least influence all the other raw materials of manifestation. Similarly, as you change your beliefs all the other components shift. If choice and belief remain unchanged, all other raw materials stagnate. Reality remains in a state of inertia.
Inertia is a state of rest or motion that remains unchanged until there is an equal or greater force to change it. The force that is equal or greater than the existing pattern of reality is choice and belief.
To create your reality, you need more than raw materials. You need to skillfully develop the tools of manifestation, the tools of creation. You must discover the tools and learn how to use them. Developing the skill of creation or improving your ability to create is another way of discovering and developing your personal power. Everyone creates his or her own reality. Some do it more creatively and skillfullymore elegantlythan others. The difference: Do you constructively and imaginatively use the tools of manifestation? The terms: tools of manifestation and the tools of creation sound as though they should be very complicated and complex. In fact, they are disarmingly simple. There are only three of them with which each of you create your entire reality. With these three powerful tools you sculpt an illusion you call your reality.
Desire is the first tool of manifestation or creation. Spoken or unspoken, overt or covert, all creation begins with desire. Expectation follows. Once you desire something, it is critical to creation that you actually expect that something to happen. Expectancies often seem automatic. Look at any positive reality creation and on some level of consciousness, you did expect it.
Beyond, yet mingled with desire and expectation, the final tool of reality creation is imagination. Your imaginings breathe life into the otherwise wishful thinking of your desires and the otherwise fanciful whims of your expectations.
You might say there is a wonderful alchemy that takes place when you combine these three magickal ingredients. With a delightful mixture of desire, expectancy, and imagination, the choices and decisions, the thoughts and feelings, and the attitudes and beliefs become dense and massive. They become your physical reality.
A spectacular synergy, where the whole is much more than the sum of the parts, occurs. The parts (the raw materials)when chiseled, carved, sculpted and conjured by the intricacy and intimacy of your personal desires and private expectationsare lifted into manifestation by the power and awe of your imagination. By the merging and mingling of the tools, the raw materials come alive.
Where do you get your desires? What is the origin of your expectancy? Why is your imagination? The tools seem so much a part of you that you seldom consider their source. The tools of manifestation come from your dreams. Your night dreams do generate desire, expectation and imagination. But an even richer source is the Dream of the Future. The hope and the stretch of probability, and the reach of possibilitythe Dream (with a capital D) of the Future.
The more you Dream, the greater desire, expectancy and imagination you have. The more you Dream, the more constructively and uniquely you will use the desires, expectancies, and imaginings you already have.
Don't you see? Whenever something is created something else is lost. When you manifest something in your reality, a certain part of your desire is lost. A piece of your expectancy is gone. Something of your imagination is given up. Once you have something, whether that something is tangible or abstract, you do not desire it or expect ityou have it. You no longer imagine what it would be like to have whatever it isyou know now. Whenever something is created, some of the tools of creation are lost. That is the price of creating your own reality.
It is price well worth paying. As long as you Dream you have unlimited desire, expectation, and imagination. As long as you Dream, that is. The way you replenish the lost desire, expectancy, and imagination is by Dreaming. The tools that get used up in the process of creating get replaced by the process of Dreaming.
The problem: Your world is telling you to stop Dreaming. The Way of the Worldthe Mass Consciousnessis encouraging you to give up on your Dreams. You are told to be more realistic" in this harsh world of yours. You are told not to be so foolish as to think your Dreams can come true. You are told to stopstop Dreaming.
The admonitions go further. The Mass Consciousness further entreats you to drop desire, for it is selfish, and to lower or eliminate your expectations and accept whatever happens as okay and not to waste your time imagining, for it will get you nowhere.
Many have already given up their desires, expectations, and imaginings. Many have already stopped Dreaming. Many more will. Without Dreams and the desire, expectancy and imagination they spawn, you do not have the tools necessary to consciously create your own reality. You will still create it, but you will have to rely on the way of the world. You will have to rely on the Mass Consciousness. Without your own Dreams and what comes with them, you will relinquish your creativity and your power to create what you want. You will feel out of control. You will listlessly accept whatever the world dishes out to you. You will be a sheep.
In the non-metaphysical world, this problem and these admonitions are not new. You as metaphysicians are well used to this diatribe. There is a more serious problem however. Now many so-called spiritual leaders and teachers (who refuse to call themselves leaders and teachers) are similarly telling you to stop your Dreams and to lay down your desire, expectancy, and imagination.
When the attack comes from without, you can handle it. When the attack comes from within, however, you are often unprepared to deal with the confusion. You are often unwilling to deal with the discernment that is necessary. Discernment is now popularly called judgment by the non-leader leaders and the non-teacher teachers.
When the attack comes from within, it often comes cloaked in subtlety. The words are often there, but the understanding and the meaning are missing.
Those who want you to stop Dreaming say you create your own reality, and they similarly tell you that there is a God and/or Goddess who loves you. They are very readywe would suggest, almost too readyto tell you how very much they themselves really love you. The words are correct, but the meaning is missing.
You are first told you create your own reality. Then you are told that the world is coming to an end or is going through some vaguely abstract, but very destructive, purging/healing process about which you can do nothing. The obvious contradiction is assuaged by abandoning the power to create your own reality. The abandonment is augmented by the shortsighted opinion that the romance and adventure of attempting to endure the impending doom is more exhilarating that the humdrum of taking responsibility for a daily reality.
Imagine someone with a 15-year-old son with pink hair and a safety pin in his cheek, a 17-year-old daughter whom they hope is just putting on weight (rather than being pregnant), and bills that accrue faster than pay checks. For many, it is more fun to contemplate an easy end to those problems, even if it means the world is destroyed. It is more romantic and exciting to plan how they are going to endure the elements, than it is to take a serious look at the reality they are creating. Also, when solutions are not readily available, those of limited thought and limited vision assume there are no solutions.
Many of the non-teacher teachers say they create their own reality, but they do not believe it. They cannot see solutions to the many personal and world problems, so they assume there are no solutions. Sadly, it is their truth that they end up non-teaching to those who have come to them for insight.
The non-teachers claim that what they teach is only their truth. Therefore when someone eager to learnsomeone who is paying money to be non-taught"listens and believes without questioning the contradictions and without attempting to discern, it is indeed the reality that they, not the non-teacher, have created. We do not judge the non-teachers; we merely observe them.
The result is that you forget that you create your own reality. You forget that all solutions to all problems have always and will always lie in the midst of or at the end of a Dream. You forget to Dream.
It is very popular in the metaphysical community to gather meteorological and geological data, which is at best highly speculative, and add a few mystical phrases to produce instant prophesy. It is also very popular to research ancient teachings written before people knew they created their own reality and combine the archaic with the instant to produce a prophesy of doom and gloom.
The problem with such an approach is not whether you are going to live or dieyou have done both so many times already. The problem is that to accept these inevitabilities requires not only that you forget that you create your own reality. You must also forget to Dream.
There is another price to pay. You must also forget that there is a God who cares. It is often said you cannot do anything about the doom and gloom, because the Earth must purge itself and the Earth does not care about you. Even if you want to pretend the Earth does not care, God does care. When you accept the inevitability of doom, you close the door to a caring God/Goddess/All That Is.
We distinguish, and encourage you to distinguish, between sincere concern and doom-and-gloom. Sincere concern may point out impending problems and then will offer sincere methods and techniques not just to escape the path of doom, but to actually re-create the reality so as to eliminate the dangers. Doom-and-gloom will talk of the same concernsoften exaggerated to create panicand will, at best, tell you where to hide and, at worst, tell you there is no place to hide. They will leave you with a hopeless inevitability rather than a shimmering possibility.
Those who offer doom-and-gloom, similarly, have lost sight of a God that is real. They have lost sight, in their limited vision and in their limited thought, of a God by any name that exists beyond them and their human limitations. They honestly think that they are All That Is! They pass their limitations on to those who will listen though the subtlety of their own doom-and-gloomthrough their own dimly lit reality.
It is time to start Dreaming again. It is time to awaken the desire and the expectation of a glorious reality filled with love and laughter. It is time, more than ever, to call forth your imagination to breathe life once again into the Dreams you have dutifully put aside.
Through your desires, expectancies, and your imaginings you will begin to Dream. Through your Dreams, you will awaken the desire, expectations, and imagination so critical in reality creation. You will once again have the tools necessary to consciously create your own reality.
It is time to awaken that spark of love that is within each of you. You are the Hope of the Future. You are the Inspiration of Humankind. Some people will create a world that does not seem to care. Others, using their Power of Dominiontheir power to create a friendly worldwill create a loving world that seems to care a great deal. Does the world care about you, or not? You can speculate and argue this point forever. The real point is: You do care about the world! That is an issue you can answer now.
It is imperative that you start Dreaming again. Within the Dreams lie the solutions to all the problems in your reality. Society tells you to stop Dreaming when there are so many problems to solve, when that is precisely the time to start. Within the Dreams that each of you dream lies the new vista or creativity; within the Dreams that each of you dream lie the farthest stretches of your personal vision.
Through the Dream you discover a lost power: the power of knowing that there is a God/Goddess/All That Is and that you are loved by that Source of All. When you stop Dreaming, you also stop letting the love in. You stop believing that you are loveyou stop believing that you can love.
You are loved. You do love. You love so beautifully. You need to rediscover through your Dreams so that you might begin to glimpse the profound joy and serenity that that love provides.
Wake up and Dream. Wake up and more consciously create your reality. Wake up and love and let yourself be loved.
With love and peace. Lazaris
