Hallows Eve

Ancestor night, I call them all
Grandmother, aunt, great uncle
But you come
First and closest, my spirit love
So close I can almost touch you
Sitting here before me in the circle.
I touch your hair, your face
Feeling the heat on my fingertips.
Your touch on my hand is
Like a thousand tiny electric shocks
Intense.
Tonight the veil between our world is thin
So thin I feel I could step right through
Step into your world
Hold you in my arms
And say, I love you.
