Astrological Forecast
July August, 1992

This is a time of indescribable energy and a corresponding shift in consciousness. As the drama unfolds, I continue to be awe-struck by its magnificence, humbled by the piercing of truth.
The heat of the summer will bring the heating of the personality as it rises to the level of the spirit (or attempts to). There is a sense of urgency as the planets reach a cosmic crescendo signaling the inner crescendo awakening us from our long lifetimes of sleep.
The focal point for this climax is the Uranus-Neptune conjunction occurring over the next two years. We are in the very midst of the great awakening it brings. Most urgent of these awakenings is learning to be a part of our planet in time to heal her. If we even stop injuring her, that will suffice!
I heard a story about a businessman who was unexpectedly responsible for his 7-year-old son one workday when he had an important meeting to attend. Taking his son to the meeting, he looked for something for his son to do. He found a newspaper upon a page of which was a picture of the earth. He decided to make a jigsaw puzzle of it to keep him occupied. Giving the boy a roll of tape, he told him to put it together. Since his son did not know much about the continents, he figured it would take him at least an hour to do. However, after about 15 minutes the boy returned with the puzzle intact. Astounded at his brilliance, he asked the boy how he did it. The boy said, I turned the pieces over and on them was a picture of a man. I put the man together and the earth came together all by itself.
This is our task, to put the (hu)man together. Then the earth will come together by itself. When we are conscious, feeling humans, we can no longer injure our planet. We care for her as we would our own children, since she will nurture them after we are gone.
JULY: On the last day of June, we experience a solar eclipse. This is the beginning of a new six-month focus for us, bringing into manifestation yet another time the Cancer-Capricorn themes of nurturance and feeling vs. structure and responsibility. These do not have to be in conflict with each other, but we may feel that in order to meet the needs cast upon by the world (our responsibilities), we must forego our inner needs for emotional support, etc. At least this is what our cultural ethic has taught us.
From July 5th through 12th, we will reach new levels of understanding that we will be able to act upon after the 13th. If we take steps before then, we can potentiate the following two weeks even more. The culmination of these energies comes on the 14th with the Full Moon, which will bring perfected awareness of the Cancer-Capricorn dilemma. This awareness may result in an internal crisis requiring external change—we may feel the irresistible urge to make profound changes in the circumstances and realities of our lives now more than at any time since January. And the urge may be greater now than then, especially if we did not respond to it then.
By the 19th, however, it will be well to have our goals well in focus and activated, since Mercury's quarterly retrograde period will test the wisdom of our focus (which is Mercury's domain and what we use to create our world). The theme of this 22-day interlude is finding and following our heart's desire. This is guaranteed to affect people born between mid-1942 and mid-1951 or mid-1956 and late 1959, with special emphasis on those born mid-1946 to mid-1948.
We will receive assistance when the Sun enters Leo on the 22nd. Our focus will shift to shining like the Sun—play, creativity and a childlike experience of life. We will have to balance this with Mercury's process, especially around August 2nd. Mental awareness and ability to act is enhanced from the 26th, but the time of action will not arise until the Moon reaches fullness on August 13th.
This is not to say, however, that the pressure to act will not exist! If you are compelled to take action but cannot or should not around the 30th, do not be surprised. It may be better to wait, let the energies clear and gather force once again after the 12th. However, if you must act, you should have no fear of doing so, for anytime is the right time to follow the urgings of your soul.
The 31st brings a feeling of upliftment, even transcendence. Go inside yourself for renewal. Areas of blockage may clear at this time. During this time, remember that patience is a virtue.
AUGUST: We cross a major bridge in consciousness on the 1st, shifting our focus of activation from the Cancer-Capricorn themes noted above to the themes of Sagittarius and Gemini. Now we will see energies clearing, movement and transcendence. We will feel more expansive, adventurous, mentally attuned, and ideas that we have had may precipitate into action at last. Expect the world of thought and communication to go through profound change during the coming 18 months.
On the 2nd, we celebrate Lughnasadh, the first harvest. It is a time to give our first thanks for the year's bounty and to potentiate the coming Great Harvest at the Autumn Equinox.
Life on this planet may come with its privileges, but it also requires that we learn to adjust to circumstances. This will be the theme of the first week of August. Especially around the 7th, we will encounter the immovable object. Unbeknownst to most people, our true immovable object is our karma (obligations); and if we have met our obligations, we will be relatively free and clear to reach new levels of attainment at this time. Watch what happens in your life at this time to determine where you are at in your own fulfillment of karma and use of your energies. This is the electric Kool-aid acid test (at a special sale price), now through August 21st.
When the Sun enters Virgo on the 22nd, you might think we would get more civilized, but you are more likely to experience the wanton sensual side of the Virgin this year! With Jupiter in Her sign, an adventurous, expansive side of Her nature will come out. The coming year will be very good for Virgos if they have not blown out their energies into too many activities or anxieties. The harvest is likely to be good this year; and you may notice a theme of nourishment, earthcare and taking care of the needs of the masses over the past year that Jupiter has been in Virgo. With the good aspects to Virgo at this time, it is a time of high activation for all Virgos, but especially for those born from 1949 to 1955.
The remainder of August feeds a note of caution into the new lunar cycle beginning of the 27th: remember that everything in life has its checks and balances. Stay toward the center; be receptive to the need for change when it arises.
One reminder regarding the use of astrology. It is tempting to write or talk about astrology as if the planets influence us. They do not. They merely follow the energies of spirit in a more straightforward pattern than we do. We are spirit, as they are. However, their role is to be regular, to regulate or time, and to mirror the archetypes that are synchronistically at work within us. It is our birthright—and our obligation—to act on free will, to make conscious (instead of unconscious, conditioned) choices in our lives.
